I had the pleasure of traveling to Napa Valley/Sonoma to photograph Liz & Patrick’s wedding.  Of course I was excited to be able to photograph a wedding in such an awesome part of the country but I was even more excited because I had never been to that area or San Francisco!  I took my good friend Heather Morrow who is also a photographer, I knew she would be in photo heaven as well :)  The entire trip was such an adventure and we were excited to be able to share in and capture Liz and Patrick’s big adventure :) They had such wonderful friends and family there to celebrate with them, everyone was having such a fun time!  Liz and Patrick’s wedding day was spread out between 3 different wineries.  Their weding day started off getting ready at the Silverado Resort in Napa, and then everyone was off to Jacuzzi Family Vineyard for the ceremony.  They had their dinner and cake cutting at Gloria Ferrer and their first dance on the hill top of Kunde!   And if all of that wasn’t spectacular enough, we had a day after session in Muir Woods!  I am going to blog the Muir Woods photos separately :)  Just too much awesomeness for one post :)

I will tell the story throughout this post with the photos :)  But I do have to say that out of all of the great scenic areas and overall fantasticalness that I photographed that weekend, I think my very favorite photo of the weekend is one that happened during the ceremony.  It was a real moment and you can feel something when you look at it.  I am glad I was there to witness such a moment and even happier to give Liz and Patrick this moment frozen in time :)  Thank you for trusting me to photograph your happily ever after :)

A little night shot from the cable car ride that Heather and I took in San Fransisco!  Super fun!!!

On our way to Napa, we stopped in Sausalito for lunch and this was our view.  I highly recommend this little french restaurant we happened upon, Le Garage Bistro!

Then we headed for Napa to the Silverado Resort where everyone was staying!  Liz invited us to the welcome party friday night so of course I brought my camera :)

This is the sky from the night before their wedding.  What a beautiful night sky to enjoy a glass of wine under!

Then we started bright and early the next morning with hair and make up and mimosas!!!!

This is a fun example of why it is awesome to have two photographers, while I was shooting this first shot, Heather was shooting the second!  Both I love!!!  So stunning Liz!!!

There were quite a few moments at Jacuzzi before the ceremony that Liz’s mom and all her girls had some happy tears shedding.  I love this moment when Liz is giving her mom the “don’t make me cry” sign, haha!

Handsome groom!!!

The next two photos are my favorites :)  I love the smile Patrick is giving Liz when she  giggles.

I think this is my ultimate favorite.  Nothing looks better on a man than the look of love for his girl in his eyes.  Sappy, I know, but true :)

I also love Patrick’s mom and dad looking at each other with such happiness.

look mom, no hands!

This is another set of my favorites!  first one, from Heather, second from me :)

I love this and it was all Liz’s idea :)  They are holding a photo of their parents on their wedding day!

The next set of photos is from Kunde winery in which we took buses up to the top of the hillside for a tasting and a beautiful view of the valley!!

not a bad place to have your first dance as a married couple 😉

I got this shot out the window of the bus on the way back to the first vineyard and couldn’t resist posting :)  The locals have a name for this mountain, can you guess?

And at the end of photos back at Silverado Resort, Liz and Patrick were awesome enough to take a few wide angle crazy face photos.  These are always sooooo funny!

Congratulations!!!!!!!  Look for Muir Woods photos to hit the blog next!!  It was such an amazing adventure!!!!!!

Hello!  Hello!!!  I am so excited to share Ally & Luis’s wedding on the blog!  It has taken me a bit to get this ready to blog because of its super fabulousness!  And it is fall which equals busiest time for photographers :)  Ally is part of a group I call my wedding girls :)  Because when it comes to weddings these girls know what they are doing!  They pull out all of the stops!  And they help each other put together incredible weddings!  Ally & Luis’s wedding had a travel based theme, because that is what they had to do to be together after they met!  The two of them traveled all over to be together and they have traveled all over together as well!   And some of Luis’s family traveled from Ecuador to be at the wedding!!!!

They were married at the Elms in Excelcier Springs, a perfect place for their out of town guests to stay and enjoy the weeekend.  Well, mother nature threw us a bit of a curve ball (she must have know that Ally could handle it) and rained almost the entire day.  We did see a few minutes reprieve here and there which we quickly took advantage of for photos!  I think it is impossible for me to blog all of the details to this wedding!

Ally & Luis are such wonderful people to be around.  They are kind and have humongous hearts.  I have had such a great time hanging with them before  and during the wedding.  Allyson is sweet and super fun!  She even gave me a super cool suitcase when we met to plan her day!  I have used it for a few shoots already!  Thank you !  Thank you!!!  And Luis, well Luis is a cool cat.  He has so many different interests from dentistry to music and photography!

I will start with Ally’s dress!  It is so beautiful and the beading was so intricate!!!

love the map cuff links!!!!

my super cutie assistant Amber got this awesome shot of the boys hanging out!!!  I just turned her loose with the camera and she did great :)

Wowzers!!!!

Here are the first of some of the details!  I have to say the map mobile was one of my favorites!!!!  And the swedish fish, since Ally’s dad is Swedish!

The coolest save the dates I have seen!!!  Love the passport  Save the date!!!!

Everyone heading for the ceremony!!

This is the first time Luis saw Ally on their wedding day.  Seriously I can’t look at this without tearing up myself!!

I have to say that their ceremony was such an endearing warm ceremony.  I loved that it was a small church packed to the brim with warm romantic lighting and beautiful songs sung!

right after the ceremony we had about a 2 minute window of no rain.  So we shot as many wedding party pics as we could in that time!  Nothing like being rushed, lol!

I believe these cookies and treats are from Ecuador honoring Luis’s heritage.  And heart map stir sticks?!?!!?!  LOVE!!

Luis and his other girl :)

beautiful girlies!

handsome boys!

another quick moment break in the rain :)

This shot makes me ready for winter.  It is so cozy and romantic by the fire :)

Also coolest place cards EVER!!!  Luggage tags!!!!  And each table was named after a city special to them!!

There were a few great surprises in store for Ally during the reception!  Starting off with her father singing to her and Luis!

Ally was completely shocked when Luis joined the band with a little horn playing followed up by a song serenade!!!!

Me and my girls!!!!  I love all of these brides :)

We ended the night with some sparkler fun!!!  There is never a sparkler session that isn’t an awesomely good time :)  Congrats to you both!!!!!  Wishing you a lifetime of happiness :)
