I am finally blogging from the wedding I was the 2nd shooter with Leigh Taylor!  I have been inspired by some of the great ideas of Leigh's and known her work for a bit now and had thought how fun it would be to work with her and BAM!  her 2nd shooter got sick and through the wonderful world of web friendships she flies me to Florida to shoot a wedding with her!  I was kind of nervous meeting her and her husband face to face, since we have only chatted online, but it was no time at all that we found ourselves talking about anything and everything

It was also really cool being around her and her husband Andy, it was like being around newlyweds  

Also it was new territory for me 2nd shooting as I am always the one in charge.  I thought I would like not having the stress of being responsible for all the photo plans of the day, but it was a nice discovery to realize that I like being in charge and that is when I am at my best and most creative!    And I learned a few new things that I have been wanting to try as well!  So I am so excited for this years wedding season!!!

I stayed with the boys getting ready while Leigh was working with the ladies!  The wedding was in St. Petersburg and it was so beautiful!  Although the weather was not as warm as one would hope for a January getaway!!  While it was below zero in KC it was in the high 30's  and low 40's in Florida!  Chilly for an outdoor wedding in the tea garden

And on the plane ride home, coming back to lots of snow!  Shot for Leigh's kids who haven't ever experienced snow!  Loved her kids!  I want to kidnap them for a week over the summer!  Can I borrow them?!?!?
