Scott and Danielle's wedding day is a story that will be told for years, just like their lives together, a true love story that will always be told. Danielle and Scott were marrying each other on their exact 10 year anniversary! I didn't know the two of them very well before their wedding day, but very soon into the day, every detail and every decision had their personality all over it. I soon felt like I had know them forever and was as comfortable with them as they were with each other.
Their wedding day was planned to be what would be every bride and every photographer's dream. Upon arriving, I was taking in the view of the waterfall, the custom pool, the array of badass cars and bikes, then when I came in and saw Danielle and her dress and her beautiful hair and makeup, I was in awe! But I could see in Danielle's face the worry of the weather as well. They were to get married by the pool and waterfall all to candles as everyone sat all around the pool area. There were some storms brewing but seemed to be keeping much further north, so she was hoping to stick by the plan
! The clouds made for awesome photos as we started to get going on some fun shots.
Well it turned out that the winds shifted and the storm was headed our way. And about the time they were to be married, a crazy amount of rain came in. So the back up plan came to be! All the while they have not yet seen each other and were communicating through family and friends about the change of plans.
The really great thing is that the guests arriving with umbrellas didn't seem to mind at all, everyone was so happy to be there to be a part of their lives and share in their love! The emotions of the day ran high all day! So everyone started to move from the house to the covered areas with umbrellas and everyone got settled into their chairs ready to see the bride walk down the isle!! I was standing next to Danielle's brother when he was saying that he would like to get the lights down a bit and right at that EXACT moment lightning struck and the electricity went off everywhere! I wasn't with Danielle right at that moment but I think I can imagine what her thoughts were
!
But let me tell you, it was an incredibly romantic ceremony all by candlelight, and they said their own vows also to candlelight. Even as I type this I can feel the goosebumps rising on my skin. Their vows were amazing and their love even more so. They did not have everything go as planned but such is life and love is what carries you through. There is no doubt that their love for each other and their family will grow stronger each day. Seeing their eyes when they were finally together on there wedding day was something I am so happy to have witnessed. Their friends and family were amazing and showed even more so the kind of man and woman they are to everyone.
