Lauren & Jordan Married!!! {Kansas City Wedding Photographer}
What a way to end my 2012 wedding season!!! It was just perfect shooting Lauren & Jordan’s wedding on Dec 8th. The weather was pretty great for a December day, a tad bit chilly, but nothing that stopped us from getting awesome photos!! Lauren & Jordan were married and had their reception at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art which is always awesome!!! I don’t know what it is about having your ceremony and reception all at the same venue, but it feels so cozy to me!!
And of course I had an amazing couple to photograph! Seriously, get ready for bride overload photos. Dang, Lauren was meant to be photographed! The camera LOVES her, and Jordan is pretty GQ as well
And a big thank you to Mike Tsai, my second photographer that day!!!
I will start with the dress!!! The lace on the flowers came from Lauren’s mom’s wedding dress!!!!

How fabulous are Lauren’s shoes?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Lauren’s lovely sis and mom helping her with her dress

Here comes bridal overload!! I just couldn’t help myself!!!!!

Show stopper!!!!!!!!

We popped down for a few shots of Jordan before they were ready for the first look!!!!

One of my favorite parts of the day!!!!

The lovely ladies!!!

And handsome men

One of my favorite shots of the day!!!

Or maybe this one!

This is one of those moments when whatever is on my mind just comes flying out in words
I am pretty sure it had to do with Jordan’s socks

Seriously beautiful couple, inside and out

After we finished up taking photos at the Nelson Atkins Museum right around the corner from the Kemper, it was ceremony time!!! This is a moment when I am so glad they had a second photographer booked. While I was waiting for Lauren to walk down the aisle, Mike was in the back room with them and was able to capture this moment with Lauren and her mom

One of the very special things about their ceremony was that Jordan’s dad performed the ceremony!!!

Oh my how I loved the cake! It was so pretty and the texture was so cool!!!

There was some fun dancing to be had!! And I should let everyone know that if I accidentaly take a photo that looks embarassing and hilarious, I am probably going to post it, haha!!! Also, I loved the coasters Lauren made so much, my daughter and I are going to try to make some!!!

Congratulations to you both!!!
Jamie & Chris Married!! {Kansas City Wedding Photographer}
I can barely believe it is a new year already! 2012 was a great year and I am looking forward to making 2013 wonderful as well!
December flew by between work, family, fevers and holidays! So I am actually backward blogging Jamie & Chris’s wedding. I already finished editing the whole wedding and posted their wedding website before Christmas. But I didn’t have time to get the blog post up to share with everyone how beautiful and wonderful their wedding was!
I was so happy to be Jamie’s wedding photographer after having taken her senior pictures years ago! Jamie is the kind of girl that wears her heart on her sleeve, she is just so endearing. And after meeting Chris, I could tell that his heart was equally as big. And together they are kind, playful, and remind you of things that are good in the world.
I don’t think I ever blogged their engagement session and it was EPIC! Not at all what we planned, it rained the whole time. But one word I think about when I think about their engagement session is STEAMY! Doesn’t this look straight out of a movie! Dang! I think everyone should have a movie star kiss moment like this in their lives!
A big thank you to Nate Robinson for second shooting Jamie and Chris’s wedding and Maura Coleman for being an awesome videographer!

But luckily it didn’t rain on their wedding day….except a little

The view from the rooms at Briarcliff Marriott!

I am kind of CRAZY about this!!! Jamie-you are stunning

I absolutely always love the moment when a groom sees his bride for the first time on their wedding day. So much excitement, nervousness and happiness.

If I haven’t mentioned my love of parking garage photos (which I am sure I have), dang I love parking garage photos. In particular…THIS parking garage with Jamie & Chris in it

You gotta love a guy who can have fun and laugh at himself sometimes

Jamie and Chris are so naturally romantic that it made my job easy

Haha, I love this shot of Chance. Work it! Chance was a big help keeping me dry at Jamie & Chris’ engagement shoot

Jamie & Chris were married at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. What a truly remarkably beautiful stone church. I think it was the darkest church I ever shot in, definitely was cranking up the iso! But it was for sure one of the most beautiful

There is always one thing at a wedding that doesn’t go quite as planned, well a little glitch in the trolly that was to take the wedding party to the the reception. They got it all worked out but meanwhile I got Jamie and Chris to pose for a few city street shots
Yeah!!!!

Their reception was at the Marriott at Briarcliff and what an amazing view!!!!!

I don’t know what it is about ice sculptures, but they are so magical! I LOVE them!!!!!

Jamie’s neice was so cute running around taking pictures of everyone!!!!

This was a longer exposure photo and I just love the movement, feels like a 50/60′s shot

Congratulations to such a wonderful couple!!!! And a funny face photo before I left of course
